Welcome!
Parents, if you’ve come to this website, it’s because you care about the success of your child’s future. And because you care about your child, you want them to have the best life can offer through the value of a well-rounded education and life experience.
I can help. I have over 17 years of experience helping students to succeed in the classroom and young adults to grow in their lives. My training is in educational and counseling psychology which is concerned with how students learn and develop both individually and in groups.
I have a Master’s degree in counseling psychology and I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of California. I have an insightful ability to assess a student’s blocks and strengths for learning. As a result, I work with a student’s academic, social, emotional and behavioral aspects. I help students overcome obstacles that prevent them from being able to achieve their goals and perform successfully at school.
Parents report that their children have become more motivated and inspired to organize themselves, do homework, improve study skills and prepare for exams. I help to make academic tasks more efficient and teach them lasting skills that they can utilize for life. The outcome is that students are able to approach their homework independently with improved self-esteem, confidence, and skill.
I offer a holistic approach to school through academic coaching, specialized tutoring and life coaching services for grades 9-12 to college sophomores. I implement strategies that include learning styles, motivational techniques, organizational tools, and study skills to remove old patterns that block performance. I work with families to provide parenting solutions and improve communication skills so that homework becomes a more agreeable event rather than a battle of wills.
At an early age, I had the joyful experience of learning with my own tutor. Through this experience, I found the wisdom and value of learning. My goal is to impart this treasure — the joy of learning and the power of knowledge on to my students. Please read on to find out more.
