Summer 2019 – $90/session
Students frequently struggle with motivation in high school and college because they are unsure what career choice is best for them. Many are uncertain what their strengths and skills are or how they can be matched to a career choice that is satisfying. Oftentimes they choose a college major because it is what everyone else is doing or someone told them it would end up as a lucrative profession. When you match the innate skills and personal interests of a student with the right career, the student will have a greater chance of success and happiness as an adult.
Determining a satisfying career path and college major takes focus and consistent attention. Summer offers the chance for students to spend time outside of school to do research to find a career choice. I will help your child increase career self-awareness, identify strengths and skills, and explore career interests. Together we will explore skills, abilities and interests and how to apply those to career interests. Identifying a career path can help motivate students to apply themselves to assignments during the academic years.
