Assessment & Training
4 Sessions – August 2019
Get a good start to school in this four-session individual training for your teen. We will explore executive skills functions and learn about how they relate to your child. Executive function skills are developed in the pre-frontal cortex of the brain and are responsible for building skills in planning, organization, time management, emotional regulation, and response inhibition. There are eleven executive function skills and it is an excellent time for your teenager to learn about and strengthen proficiency in these abilities.
In our time together I will assess your child on their overall executive function abilities. We will identify their strengths and weak points and they will learn how to use their strengths to improve academic functioning overall. This is an excellent program to do before the start of school. It will help your child develop an understanding of how their strengths can support areas of weakness.
